Though i shall be returning next week, as i forgot to take my 18-125mm lens and kit lens.
Flickr uploadr is being really slow today, hope i didn't kill my bandwidth last month with that flickr challenge lol.

Is a challenge that I have been doing via Flickr. The concept is simple, you take one picture for everyday of the
month. Mines a bit of a mixed bag. I offically ran out of ideas last night while in the Port Mahon waiting
to see Smilex play. I will be blogging about each photograph on my photoblog in the coming weeks.

I decided to take a walk down to New Hinksey Park and ended up by my old school (was New Hinksey First School, but has since become a proper Primary School). I did think about taking a lot more pictures, but i settled for two. It's changed since my days there. They've built new buildings at the front which means the little pond has gone. It did bring some nice memories back and not so nice ones.
Though to start off with i walked through new hinksey park (boating lake, then the big old stone quarry which is now a lake).
I had a memory flashback to the day we released frogs into the boating lake. Just small flashes of images, not my usual technicolour visuals.
My memories of those days are a bit hazy as I did block most things out around the time my grandmother died. Today was about trying to unlock memories. It's been a partial success i guess. I do intend on going back, as i want to cross the bridge over the lake and into hinksey village. I think it might be possible to get to bagley wood from there, i shall have to investigate it a bit more.
I feel content for the moment, before the awful things in my childhood happened (grandmother dying, great uncle having a stroke etc), i had a pretty good childhood. I was a lot more adventurous back then. I don't know what's happened to that really. I shall have to rediscover it with a trip to Shotover in the next few months (i wanna play in the natural sandpits). I also feel the need to do some walking with steep climbs, i haven't really done so in a while. So i guess a trip to bagley wood might be in order.

As i only have about 3 decent Photographs (i have a thing about the 13th, it makes me nervous. Though i don't batter an eyelid at
living in a house with the number 13 on the door. I'm odd). In hindsight i should have used my Nifty fifty lens instead of my
telephoto zoom lens when i was taking pictures of the radcliffe camera.

They are looking a bit worse for wear after yesterdays rain and the very chilly start this morning.
Though it's not proper Oxford bone chilling cold yet. I used my monopod today and I'm very pleased
with the results (as you will see in the second picspam).
