The First Picspam of 2012!

  • Jan. 7th, 2012 at 3:25 PM
down is the new up
I dusted off a few cobwebs today in terms of Photography. Not been out since the November strikes. Had a bit of doom and gloom for a while, didn't really want to do anything.
So I used my ND4 Grad, tripod and my wide angle L lens for some shots and then back to my
precioussss big White L lens that gets me mistaken as a press photographer lol. I will try and update my LJ a bit more this year.

Currently sifting through my flickrstream and creating blogposts from the photos that jump out at me.

2011 By Month - My Favourite Picture taken in February

Good Night Or Bad Night ?

Sunny Days.

Jump.

Smokers.

Fashion Victims.

Will probably be updating my blog tomorrow with a wedding photography retrospective (If I can
summon the strength to do so).

October a Month in 31 Pictures - Part 2

  • Oct. 31st, 2011 at 12:43 PM

Part of my epic Flickr challenge (so epic on some days I just opened the front door or hanged out of
a window to take pictures). I'm glad it's over. I do have quite a lot of leftovers from this project, so they will
most likely be going into my Candid Photography set on flickr.

October a Month in 31 Pictures - Part 1

  • Oct. 30th, 2011 at 1:10 AM
down is the new up
I thought that doing an entire post for this flickr challenge might be a tad overwhelming for some people.
So I'm splitting the post in half. Part 2 will follow on Monday at some point.

The basic premise of the challenge is to take one photo a day for the entire month.
Some people plan things out, where as I fly by the seat of my pants. Which is what I do for
everything in life. It's more fun that way and probably explains why I hate academic type work (very much capable of
doing such work).

1st of October.

Just another wedding to do, then I doubt I will take any photographs until my sister has had her baby.

Wedding Present done.

I managed to get this done, while freaking out over how I'm going to edit 425 RAW files (minus the
crap ones aka out of focus etc). It's not the best picture, but it was an idea I had on Monday. It takes about 4-5 days
for the poster print to be printed, posted and arrive.

I'm going to do another A2 Poster print of something else in a few weeks time (once I've decided which image will make
a good poster print, it shall require some tweaking in Lightroom, photoshop and Photo resize 7) and I shall order a frame off Amazon which will have the right measurements (he hopes). It's all part of me developing different print sizes for sale. 10X8" being the easiest frame size to do. Bigger sizes requires more effort on my part (I dread to think how much it would cost to post an A2 framed picture).
